FAQ

What will our first session look and feel like?

During our first few sessions, we’ll spend time exploring your story. I may ask about your personal history, family background, current experiences, and the strengths you bring with you. This gives me a fuller picture of who you are and what’s most meaningful in your life. You’re always in control of what you share — we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.

How will I know if you are the right fit for me?

Therapy works best when you feel comfortable and understood. Some clients know right away while others need a few session to settle in. I encourage you to check in with yourself about how supported and connected you feel. If I’m not the right match, I’ll be happy to provide referrals to help you find someone who is.

When will I start to feel better?

This is something many people wonder about, and the truth is that the timeline looks different for everyone. Healing isn’t linear — it can feel unpredictable, and growth doesn’t always feel comfortable. Therapy supports you in building space for that discomfort while also noticing the shifts that happen along the way. Some people stay in therapy for months or years, and often they realize they’ve started to feel better before they even expected it. Our work together will likely include moments of insight and growth, times of humor and lightness, and the experience of moving through strong emotions. Through it all, you won’t be alone — I’ll be right there with you as you grow more connected to your Self.
